Compatible GPU suggestions? - Solved
Looking for suggestions as to what I can run with my cheap AMD build.

This is my current build:
- Asrock B450M-HDV Micro ATX MoBo
- AMD Ryzen3 2200G 4 core/4 threads 3.7GHz w/RX Vega Graphics
- 600W PSU
- G.Skill DDR4 16GB Dual Channel Flare X RAM
- 64bit Windows 10
- Any further specs needed, just ask.

NOTES:
- I was suggested a card when I built the PC but I have misplaced the paper, I think it was a 1060-70TI? The lower version of the 1080ti anyway, (not sure about bottle necking but I know around 1080 will be starting to on my build.)
- Please look at the games I play on my profile and my aim is to have settings on high with solid 60 FPS at 1920x1080 res on them.
- I have been able to run games extremely well on this CPU so really I am looking at the lowest decent GPU.
- My currency is AUD , so keep in mind something like a new 1080ti is about $400.
- This was a budget build, has run very well whilst I pay off the parts and save for the next and last piece; the GPU. So please keep any comments at the door about how bare or bad the build is. No one cares.
- May have gotten lingo or numbers such as 1060-1080 or even TI incorrect.

Just looking it up, I can get a GTX 1060 for roughly $350, and I see it has 6GB which sounds perfect to me.

I appreciate all the technical help here guys.
The 1060 is a 3 year old card now, the 1660 replaced it and the RX 590 is a competing card.

Unless you can pick up a 1060 for a lot less grab a 1660 or 590.

The 590 is cheaper, has a lot more processing power and 2GB of extra VRAM.

Aim for something like a GTX 1660 or Radeon RX 590.

The 2200g will struggle with some games through.

Thanks, I actually think the brand I was recommended was the GTX 1070ti?

Always a question of your budget. I would aim as high as your budget allows and later on then replace the CPU with a Ryzen 5 or 7 (5 will be just fine)

PS: Brand does not really matter.

P.S. How will the mix of GPU and CPU work and do you mean it will currently struggle or with the added GPU it will still struggle or do you mean it will struggle with the two mixed together compared to with the individual CPU/Vega graphics?

New GPUs have released. GTX 1070 ti is not a brand, it's a model.

The 2200g isn't a very powerful CPU and will hold back more powerful GPUs.

Which will not be an issue if he decides to change the CPU later on as well. Therefor aim as high as possible (budget wise).

Otherwise he might buy twice.
The 2200g will limit a rx 570 in some games, I would not suggest anything higher than a 1060/1660.

I have a 1080 paired with my daughters 1200@3.9 and it rarely sees close to 100% usage. She will soon have my old 1600@3.9 when I upgrade to the 3000 series.

I am thinking the Ryzen 5 however I am yet to see how a Ryzen3 runs mixed with a GPU, I may just go straight to a new build with a CPU and a GPU without integrated graphics.

For example I have no idea how these things mix, do the Vega graphics just become obsolete and be switched or turned off with the GPU added, or do they mix for slightly more push?

The display adapter to which the monitor is connected will be used. So connect the monitor to the GPU and NOT the motherboard.
Neither. If your use a dedicated GPU the integrated is obsolete.
Which one you use in desktop use, is soley depending on where you connect the monitor. If it is connected to the motherboard (integrated) or to the GPU.

If you intent to change the CPU, I wouldn't worry about a CPU bottleneck. It will resolve itself when upgrading the CPU. Otherwise you buy now a slightly better GPU, then a new CPU and then start replacing your GPU again - buy twice.

My aim for now would be a 1060, but I do not know the brands and I was told I needed compatible one.

Currently most games I have played from older ones like Fallout 4 to newer games like Mordhau I have been able to get good frames. FO4 I can get near 40 frames with some settings pumped up and res 1920x1080, and Mordhau I can get 60 frames with the res down to something like 1080x720.

My aim really is to get the correct GPU that would allow these games to reach 60FPS on 1920x1080 res, really. Nothing too bumped up, no 4K.
It sounds like the 1060 is what I was after.

Can you tell me the proper name of it?
RTX1060ti or something?
Thanks!
It is hard to keep up with replies so I will check back in a bit and see responses, thanks all for the help.

The 1060 has been succeeded by the RX 590 and GTX 1660.

Ok, What would you say is the difference performance wise?
Because I could probably get a really good deal on a 1060 if so, which was recommended to me this past January, when I built the PC from scratch.
Newer stuff costs $$$$ here
Edit: was told to wait a little while anyway so I could get a really good deal on a 1060, so that is half of why I am asking now, to see what is what and where things are at.

Look for a GTX 1060 or the newer GTX 1660.

Like suggested you could go with a stronger GPU but I see way too many people on forums complain of stuttering and slowdowns while playing with unbalanced rigs. If your CPU can't keep up with your GPU it can give you a much worse experience at times.
