AOC G246 Free-Sync Monitor is way too sharp looking/bad dark areas
So, I recently replaced my old-ish tv which had developed ghosting issues a couple of days ago with this new monitor from centrecom.
It was, of course not calibrated so after getting the calibration correct I noticed that everything kinda looked like it had a sharp filter over it, mostly noticible on edges where there is a clear definition of dark/light colours (a sky next to a dark stone wall for example the edges of the stone wall would have a "cartoony" kinda line over them).

AOC and centrecom support were hopeless and told me it's most likely an issue on my end :/
I can't change the sharpness or other related settings as that's for VGA/non-digital outputs which I tried but the issue was not solved.
Also tried different cables to no avail, even on my xbox/ps4 it still looks way too sharp and even changing and testing with different combinations gamma, brightness, contrast and other settings also to no avail.

Don't know if you can see the sharp outlines/discolouration on the screenshots below. ( only have mordhau ones for example atm)
Any help is appreciated as I don't want to go back to my older tv. :)

If it's your monitor screenshots won't show anything. Nothing wrong with the game. If you want users to see and comment based on what you see take photos and upload them.

No, its an issue on every system and game I've tested it on, either that be my pc or all of my consoles.
