XBoX Controller going player 2
Hi! I am using windows 10 and a wireless XBox controller since a two years now, and suddenly, about five days ago when I power up my pc, plug in the receiver and then I power up my controller and It goes to player one, but say I stop playing whatever, the control shuts down, then a few hours later I simply power up the controller again and it goes to player two, witch does allow me to play the games Im currentrly doing.

I already tried unistalling the drivers and installing again (for both the receiver and the controller), unplugging and plugging in the receiver with the controller on, and off and nothing... (One time it even went to player 3)
The only thing it seems to work Its restar my pc, wich is really unpractical, I just cant believe that there isnt a simple way to switch the number of player by other means.

Any idea?

Edit: Im not using any streaming software as I saw In other discussions that that might be the issue. Also tried re-scyncking the controller and nothing

It only shows one controller.

I cant find a "sleep mode" in device manager, what I do see is a "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power", is it the same thing?

Normally the wireless adapter keeps the controller alive at all times, allowing it to trick os and games to think it's there at all times, which is how it should work, so that the controller being turned off don't cause issues with an actively running game

You may have to reboot to resolve the player 2 problems.

Avoid turning wireless controller off and then on again very quickly, as it can cause this issue to occur. Same goes for hot-plugging a wired controller in and out of the usb too quickly.

Yes that allow pc to turn this device off... Disable that on everything usb with regards to keyboard, mouse and any game controllers or wireless adapters. Leaving it enabled for a mouse should be ok if you actually use Sleep Mode on your PC, so that mouse movement alone does not wake the pc, as you could easily wake the pc by pressing on the keyboard or by a quick press of the case power button.
