PC restarting for no reason while ingame
So i just build myself a new pc and noticed that it would restart for no reason at random moments while in game, it first started with fallout 4, i could play for about half to a full hour and then it would restart. then it started happening with other random games like SCP unity, Quake 2 RTX and R6.
I opened Rainbow Six Siege and as it was loading to get to the main menu and my pc restarted.
I managed to play some heavier games like Gta V and all settings on ultra but i guess i didn't play enough for it to randomly restart my pc. The highest my temperatures might go is up to 60C and they don't go higher.

Any ideas why this is happening?

RTX 2080
i9 9900k
Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Pro
and im using a 144hz monitor in case it matters.

can be multiple things incl RAM.
Most of the times it is by havign a failing PSU or low quality PSU if it really reboots itself. Whats your PSU?

I don't remember the name but it's not a cheap unknown brand, it's silver and it's 700w

Is there an error in your windows system log? windows 10 seems to have mostly done away with the 'blue screen of death' and the useful error messages that would be reported, but the system log might have something that can help diagnose the issue.

on my pc, if it reboots unexpectedly, it often is due to my overclocking and the system glitching--often it is ram related or voltage related. The system log could point you to what the hardware could be that is causing it if that is indeed something causing an issue.

been expensive nor being a know brand makes it a good PSU. And Silver 700W PSu? there is no good one that comes to my mind.

Every brand has trashy PSU's like Corsair has the VS-Series.

Look at the Sticker on the PSU...

thats the first time I hear about that. Wrong overclocks do bluescreens or cause system performance decrease but never heard that it make their PC reboot...

Also if you have a UPS attached (not too many people seem to... but this happened to me so I'll bring it up) make sure it is rated for what your PC is pulling from the wall.

I overloaded my UPS a few times and it cut power to protect itself each time, then after a little while it restored power and the PC would turn back on and reboot normally.

I ended up having to replace the UPS with something that could handle my power draw from the outlet.

Yes it has created events, few warnings few errors and a critical. Want me to type what the errors and critical says?
I haven't overclocked my pc, im using Aorus engine and i mostly have it on gaming mode. And also no i don't use a ups

Actually it's hidden inside the case and it requires me removing some stuff first to see it which one it is.
So it's probably the psu right? If i need to change it im surely gonna get a gold 80+ with some extra watt, probably 850.

I don't know what else could be causing the crashing..

A gold PSU it has nothing to do wioth build quality or reliability. Its power converting efficency from AC to DC. Nothing more nothing less.
Also you dont need a 850W PSU if your PC wont even draw 500W in benchmarks. You are approximatly around 400W power draw under benchmark load.

Just get a Quality PSU like Seasonic Focus Gold or Focus Plus 650 or 750W (650 will do fine). And get it onlien so you have a free return time inc ase it wasnt the PSU (I doubt it though).

I looked at the Event viewer right after a game made my pc to restart and found an error saying this "WLAN Extensivity Module has failed to start.
Module path: C:\Windows\System32\Rtlihvs.dll
Error codr: 126"

Also it gave me a warning saying:
The description for Event ID 1 from source SMBCtrl cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The following information was included with the event:

[err_519]: mcuAddr = 0xcd, offset = 0xed, Word_Read fail

Any ideas guys?
