What framelimiting software did you use? Is you game running in exclusive fullscreen mode or in borderless windowed one?

power saving enabled? or perhaps not set to full/maximum?

if its a laptop is it behaving the same way if plugged into the wall?

they sell laptops that have bigger guns--they just don't make them very portable!

HDD or SSD ? Having an SSD is just as important as having a graphics card these days.

Open world games, even simple ones like minecraft, can lag quite badly on HDD's, specially 2.5 inch ones found in laptops.

are you hosting or playing on another server?

Hosting my own solo world, desktop not a laptop and I’m pretty sure it’s running off my Samsung 970 evo

I had something similar, you can try capping the game to 90 FPS, see if that fixes the issue.

And, it doesn't really matter what CPU you have, Minecraft runs on 1 thread mainly.
Storage doesn't really matter either. Because it only matters when you're joining your world. Where it loads all the assets.

This has been normal since M$ bought it and added their own backend to it.

Java version is still different from Microsoft’s Windows App version.
