I think discord keeps trying to change my headphones/microphone to the wrong settings?

Recently I became aware that it looks like Discord is changing my audio settings on startup, how exactly do I stop this behavior? Is it really discord that is doing it?

discord has its own settings for which sound device to use
or it can be set to use windows default voice device

Instead of having Discord set to "system default" manually change the playback and recording devices that discord has in settings. This way should you change defaults in the OS, it won't change in Discord
