AMD Athlon 200GE
B450 Motherboard
2x4GB DDR4
500GB SSD
SeaSonic S12II 520W

does the trick for office work at minimal cost.

How cheap is cheap?

How did she trash it by tossing it off the balcony, lol?

alternativly rasie it by 30-40$ for 2x8GB RAM. Not really needed but can give a nice eprformance boost for "those moms" that never reboot their PC, never clean it (digital cleaning) and keep all their browser stuff open with tons of plugins they have no idea where they downloaded them.

Will do all normal work unless you do profession work like photoediting with ease. Can get barely cheaper then this.

she knocked the tower over and the hard drive is making ticking sounds and it won't boot so it's trashed, it's a cheap pos dell so might as well get a new pc lol

either that, already linked you a partlist for a cheap selfbuild office PC or you simply exchange the drive.

she knocked the tower over and the hard drive is making ticking sounds and it won't boot so the hdd is trashed, I would go and get a new hard drive but I'm not sure if anything else is damaged like the mobo so might as well build her a proper pc.

below 350$. Like I said, more then you need for office work... no reason to get more expensive parts even if it's within budget.

Get her a laptop, a used office PC, or in case of "has to be new", even better would be some NUC, or for some way more performance a mini-stx build - depending on workload, i currently assume the latter might be best. But maybe her work involves "whatsoever", so please enlighten us.

Again, what is "work" for her. Anybody who tells you to buy X without asking even what it's for doesn't know what he's doing.

200GE on a B450? AM4 Athlons are the only case I would suggest an A320. Don't need a B450 for a home/work system because an A320 isn't just going to blow up, it just needs to run the basics.

Swap the drive. Or buy a refurbished i7 pc off ebay.
