Hence why I said stick to 6th and 7th gen... No need to change everything out.
But Zen2 has better offerings for not much more.
Also; 2200G - 135 AUS, motherboard 110 AUS, and you're combining it with ♥♥♥♥ RAM, so it will run ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
It's literally cheaper to grab a used i7-6700k(for 200 AUS), have twice the threads, more single core performance, and not have to worry about RAM
It's the best option, it's also the cheapest option.
You have to realise that second hand is the only way you're going to minimize cost while maximizing the gain of the upgrade. Buy a used 6700K, you'll get FAR better FPS out of it than a 2200G or 9100F. Nothing else will need changing except the GPU if you want more FPS.
As Autumn said, Ebay and some other sites have buyer's protection, which help people who get scammed. It's best you check local first, as it's harder to get scammed when you're in person and actually able to SEE what you're buying.
i7-6700k vs 2200G.
Much better performance across the board, and much cheaper than swapping to AMD parts.

i7-6700k vs i3-9100F.
Sameish single core, and quadcore speeds, however the i3 only has 4 threads, which can be limiting in some games. And lots of games these days used more than 4 threads; so if you want to play anything new you want to have more threads.
Edit ; the i7-6700k has 4 core and 8 threads, so still pretty decent by todays standards.
It's better than an i3 but no hyperthreading, so 4 threads puts it at a disadvantage. Choose that as a last resort. A 6700K or 7700K should take priority, stick to the used market. It's not worth buying brand new old CPUs because of price inflation.
If you're upgrading, there's no reason not to try to get a used 6700K or 7700K, it'll last longer and perform a lot better than you think an i5 will. Games are starting to love more than 4 threads.
You can do something stupid like buying a new i5-7500 for 300+ AU, or spend way less on the used market for a 6700K that would blow it out of the water. The idea of "just wanting to replace this Pentium" just means you're replacing trash with something slightly less trash. It's a waste and barely solving your problem.
You'll have to spend money to upgrade an i5 so much sooner than an i7 because of the extra threads with the 6700K, higher IPC, higher clock rate, etc.
Games need lots of performance these days. A quad i5 won't cut it.
You're on a dead platform, there's no reason to buy the worst when you can buy the second best performing chip for the platform (albeit used.)
Buy a cooler for it, such as Hyper212 EVO
That should keep you going for years before you need to upgrade motherboard in order to get a better cpu.
