1070 or 2070?
Which one should I get? I wanna upgrade from a gtx 970. If it matters, I have an i5 6400 2.7 Hz (boost to 3.2), so take into account bottlenecking. There's currently a deal at Best Buy with a PNY 1070 for $360. On Amazon, there's an EVGA 2070 for $460 but it comes with Wolfenstein Young Blood game code. Which one should I get? Which seems like the better deal?

rtx 2060 super will be like the current 2070 but cheaper, so wait for that.

If you have the budget, then go buy the EVGA RTX 2070 for sure. RTX cards have Ray-Tracing support to enhance your overall gaming graphics experience.

There is like 3 games with Ray-Tracing, I wouldn't spend the money on an RTX card until there is actually games that use it.

Those deals are really close in price to performance ratio, so take 2070 if you can as it is simply a stronger card.
If it's not CPU bottleneck - then it's GPU bottleneck, PC just technically can't avoid bottleneck unless you limit your framerate. Reducing graphics settings and resolution will lead to CPU bottleneck, while increasing those will lead to GPU bottleneck. Taking bottlenecks into consideration is pointless when you're buying hardware. Always go for the best GPU you can afford as long as it can provide enough FPS in the games you want to play at the resolution you want to play.
RTX is just one of the ways to use tensor cores present in RTX cards. There's a nice list of games to come that will use DLSS, which imo is way more important than RTX for a typical consumer.

New RTX 2060 Super that is about to come out will prob be cheaper then 2070 and pretty much same performance.

You forgot that ray tracing is just one feature of the card. The general performance of the 2070 is worth the money actually.

honestly, if you have a good PSU, look at a Vega 64... Its a 2070/2060 super in suprise lol...

^thats from the 4th of july, not out-dated^^

Thats a 64 vs 2070.

If you can get one at or below 400 its competitive, (though you are better with a 5700xt at this price) but if you can get one closer to 350 its a steal.

Else wise go 2060 super, 2070, or the 5700/5700XT.

Avoid the 1070, its a step below all the listed cards in performance.

It would probably be better to look at gtx 1660 Ti or RTX Super 2060

This one looks like a good deal but it's on a backorder. Does that mean there's no guarantee they'll have one in stock? https://www.newegg.com/gigabyte-geforce-rtx-2060-super-gv-n206swf2oc-8gd/p/N82E16814932174?Item=N82E16814932174

They will restock those, just currently out of stock is all.

Just look on pcpartpicker

The 2060 Supers are available on Newegg. The two best looking ones are the Strix, Aorus and the MSI one!

I got the Gigabyte one since I don't care much for looks and it was the cheapest option. My own PC is pre-built so there's no means for me to see inside the case anyway.

And Gigabyte is way better then Asus and MSI in terms of warranty support anyways.

Regardless of gpu brand, I'd suggest using msi Afterburner, RivaTuner and msi kombuster as your gpu tools
