Question about a Strange benchmark Test (Ryzen 2600 vs 2600X)
Hello everyone!

Can someone please explain me these results at 7:00 and 7:50 ? The %0.1 and %0.01 result are much lower for Non-X models.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1dJdXUyTN84

(Tech YES City - Ryzen 7 2700X Vs 2700 Vs Ryzen 5 2600X Vs 2600 - Is the X Better Value...!?)

I want to know if its about the TDP rates or not. (ryzen 2600 and 2700 are 65W, 2600x and 2700x are 95TDP)

Thanks!

Of course performance is lower on non-X models if comparing all of the cpus at stock clocks, as the non-X have lower clocks overall.

Still, it's not hard to take a 2600 or 2700 and OC them to produce stable, near X model performance.

Due to chipset limitations, it's not like you could OC the X models very far.

If you don't wish to OC then just buy an X model instead and be done with it. I'd also be sure to buy good ram that is compatible with xmp on the motherboard you intent to buy so you can get it working property based on ram specs and not be forced to run it at lower specs. 2x8gb 3000 is a good bet for ram.

thanks for the reply! but isnt that difference a lot ? even if its cheaper.(also 2700 is worse than 2600X aswell)
currently i have a Ryzen 2600X but i will upgrade to 3000 series as soon as they are released but im not sure about which model to go for yet. 3600X is 95W tdp while 3700X is 65W TDP. i wonder if they would react same as on the video.

Try and keep the Ryzen cpu as cool as possible, and in return it should auto boost higher.

What motherboard and ram are you using?

yeah thats right but its not really ez to keep it cool all the time actually even with a u12s se noctua. because my mobo uses kinda higher voltages than other x470s.
mobo:asus x470F strix
ram: 3000 mhz corsair vengeance 2x8gb (15-17-17-35)

So just set the cpu voltage manually never leave it on auto. And helps to not use amd cool and quiet either
