Airflow Fan vs Static Pressure Fan
So I heard that static pressure fans are used for areas that are in tight spaces, like air filters, radiators, and cpu fins. Currently I have the Zalman z9 Neo case and I am using corsair AF 120 fans in the front, will this effect my performance? What is the difference between the two and is it okay for my to use airflow when I am suppose to use static?

Agree I use Arctic F12s AF since they are cheaper in packs, and have used them on heatsinks like the 212 plus and Xigmatek Thor’s Hammer and they work fine - too cheap to get a dedicated SP for a measly 1c or 2c difference
Even though there is a door in the front panel changing to SP fans will make minimal differece? Also if I tear the door off I will get more airflow right?
''Tearing'' it off is a bit far, see if you can take it off before you resort to ruining it.
But, if you can, I would recommend it.

Agree removing the door would be more of an improvement, and you are just sacrificing some quiet muffle for unrestricted airflow.
If he's got a headset on, and doesn't have the fans screaming (they shouldn't be with unrestricted airflow), then he won't hear them at all.

You don't need static pressure fans, you generally just want them if you want maximum cooling performance with radiators and very restrictive panels. You'll be fine with AF120s, as the difference between them and SP120s is very minimal, and if your CPU temperatures are close to ambient temperatures of the air going into the case, then there's no real reason to worry in the first place.
If the case has hdd cages in the front, or a rad, yes the SF 120 are a little better for these types of areas. Overall don't worry about it if your temps are all fine when under full loads, since that's really all that matters.

For my case the front panel has a door that would make it sort of restrictive, if I switch to static pressure fans would it increase cooling? Or would it make minimal difference and it won't be noticeable.

Ah I see it is just some friends are telling me to switch because of my case.
If the case was designed well, then it should still have areas off to the side of the front panel to allow air through. Which case is it?

This is my case, there are cuts and crevices at the sides and a gap at the bottom. Should I remove and rip the door so there is less restrictive access of air?
I saw a test a while back, it showed little to no difference between the Airflow, or Static pressure fans.
Although, I can't recall for the life of me if it was on a Rad or just mounted to the case.

If you buy decent fans, it shouldn't matter much.
And if your fans do a good job already, no reason to change them.

Aye, I've got the same fans, because they were cheap. They do a fine job. I don't see a need to spend money on better fans for a couple degrees gain.

However, I could see SP fans being needed for custom loop (Because you can get high fin density rads, which require some power to push air through.)

Since you have the white version of the Z9 Neo, how cool would that be if you did a mod like this

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=stysHOBOfvk

would look pretty cool with the contrast between the white door and the holes with a black mesh.
Or use old dryer sheets for a less contrasting look.
My 2 cents: an unrestricted airflow allows for better temperature = allow for lower RPM = less noice

If you have quality fans like Corsair ML you have the performance with nearly no sound anyways.
Otherwise if you have to worry about fan placement or what fans to use, you use the wrong case IMO.
Looks like a poor case for airflow. I wouldn't bother changing any fans with this build though. In your next one, buy a good airflow case and then you can worry about which fans are optimal.
