(DRIVERS-HELP) AMD A8-7410 APU with AMD Radeon R5 Graphics
Hi team,

I have a HP laptop with AMD A8-7410 APU with AMD Radeon R5 Graphics. Basically when I go to auto detect and install the latest drivers. It installs and then my mouse will lag every few seconds and my computer is really slow. I then have to uninstall it to stop the mouse lag.

When I try and find the specific driver to download the file on its own, it won't let me and everything is just super slow.

When I bought this laptop it came with some drivers pre-installed, I could play BO2, Skyrim and LoL at 40fps with no trouble but yesterday I had to reset it from factory because it suddenly showed up a bluescreen making it impossible to start my pc and now it has no GPU drivers because every single one I tried to install (even older versions) don't work.

Now I can't open neither BO2 nor Skyrim and LoL client goes super slow, I can't even play a movie because it crashes.

Please help, I have like a month trying to fix this issue. What do I need to do?

what are you using to 'auto install' drivers?

best to go to the mfg site and get the correct drivers for the laptop

Wipe out the HP gpu drivers, reboot and get it from amd. Dont use auto detect just pick it on the list.

When u install this type of driver package wait until it finishes cause it's normal for the keyboard and mouse to cut out while it installs things like motherboard chipset drivers. When it's done, reboot.

I was first using the AMD auto-detection tool but it just came with that issue so I used "Driver Talent PRO".

So, you used some shady software you found on the net to do something you already did.

Also, read this:

May be best to just grab the latest 1903 ISO and just reinstall fresh, and never use those driver tools ever again lol

How is it hard to go to amd.com and click the download section and choose the right drivers?

But yea it's a laptop, make your own Win10 64bit 1903 usb flash drive and wipe out the entire drive and start with a clean updated OS

No, I just did that. It didn't work, I went to the AMD Support web and downloaded the correct drivers, uninstalled the previous ones in Safe Mode with Display Drivers Uninstaller and then reinstalled the new drivers but it's not working anyways, It keeps lagging my mouse every few seconds and it doesn't open any graphics-related app, just doesn't.

Had to go back in time with Recovery Options.

Well there's two driver packages.
Chipset and Graphics

But yea if for some reason the ones from amd.com cause issues, go to Hp.com/support

Input your hp model and then go to the download section and download the latest available from them regarding the amd chipset and amd display graphics drivers. Install the chipset, reboot when done, install the graphics, reboot when done.

For anyone facing this problem, try this:
www .amd. com/ en/ support/ kb/ release-notes/ rn-rad-win-16-12-2
It worked for my Laptop
I've tried them one by one, and this is the last one of them working smoothly

But again, use the DDU app and select safe mode + restart. Then wipe out all 3 brands of gpu drivers. Then reboot. Before installing ones from amd.com so you can rid the system of oem driver from ms/hp (or whatever your laptop brand is)
