Can Somebody Help Me With My Mouse Randomly Disconnecting
So I've used two different mice and have had the same experience of them disconnecting and reconnecting.

A couple years ago I used the G.Skill RGB Mouse and everything worked fine until it would just disconnect. Usually because of a fast swipe or the cord hitting the keyboard or some object. After awhile, I assume that the mouse was going bad so I purchased another one.

I went with the Razer Mamba TE. Worked fine in the beginning, After a few months, the same problem happens with it.

With both of them being RGB, I see the same similar thing happen. The quick swipe or cord hitting. The light would go off and then come back on. Sometimes the mouse would work and sometimes it wouldn't, even with the lights on. I would have to manually unplug the usb and plug it back in.

I've googled searched and tried everything I could. Reinstalled the drives, used device manager and uninstalled the USB roots, a whole list of things. The Razer Mamba is basically a rage inducing device. I plugged my G.Skill mouse back in and it kind of works. But still having the issues.

Can anybody help me?

Sounds like you are smashing the cable. It tend to connect the mouse on the inside right there in the front

Oh both

So it's not random that I've had this happen twice? My G.Skill I've had for almost 2 yrs and the Razer didn't even make it a year.

I also want to mention that I have the cords managed to where there is about a foot and a half of slack to a point where I have it strapped.

There's times when I'm not even moving the mouse or touching it and it will still disconnect and reconnect on its own.

Another factor could include the USB port wearing out on the PC itself. I recently had issues where each time I disconnected any other input device from my USB hub, it would reset priority of the devices and Windows would use the default settings for my mouse and keyboard using the default MS mouse and keyboard drivers rather than Logitech's.

@OP:

My point being that, before you try buying another mouse, I would recommend you try different USB ports to see if that can make a difference.

I would also recommend this power management setting for each of the Universal Serial Bus Controllers that have that option in their properties.

Sadly, I've done all that you've suggested. Also, I've upgraded my PC since with all new hardware so I thought it would all reset.

its common on razr mice, they use cheap cords that are flexible, but break easily

if you want a good wireless, go for g305/502
Each set or 2 or 4 usb ports have their own hub. If a hub is an issue, which can happen, trying other ports might help. It is however hard to look at the motherboard and know by eye, which usb ports are on which hub, but you can figure this out by looking at each usb hub in device manager where in their properties will list the connected devices.

Here's an odd thing that I also can't figure out. When the razor is plugged in, it'll show, in device manager, as "Razer Mamba Tournament Edition". But my G.SKill only shows up as HID Device. It used to show the name but I can't get it to now.
It shouldnt matter if it shows a proper device name or not, long as it works, mice and keyboards are plug and play, their name and driver do not matter. Even if just showing as a generic hid device, such power saving options should still be available by default. Some mice might require their branded software installed to then display proper name in device manager and thus features within the mouse software, such as the ability to do software based config like polling rate, dpi, rgb config, macros, buttons, etc
