apparently this brand is popular amongst asia r they any good in terms of quality there is one at my place going for 730$ aud meanwhile the msi is 780 aud ive always stuck into msi but maybe i should give others a go there is also one price in 600$ but thats for 5700XT asus tuf i just dont know what to get n sale ends within a day lol

Galax is good, just not as popular in NA where major players like ASUS and MSI have more control and reputation.

More control and marketing indeed, as their reputation as GPU manufacturers is questionable. I'd say EVGA and Inno3D have reputation in NA.

ye i heard some good stuff on them but sadly the 2070 super at thier side is close to msi which is not really convincing ;D

The GPU chip itself will always be designed and manufactured by NVIDIA or AMD themselves anyway. Unless you're looking to OC the whole thing to the extreme thus requiring an improved PCB design and other secondary controllers, these lesser brands are more than enough for most gaming requirements.

Think about it, AMD nor NVIDIA wouldn't have partnered with these companies if they can't meet all the international recognized manufacturing standards in the first place. You think some random guy with a workbench and soldering gun in his garage can just give Jensen a call for a few TU102 chips and tell the world that he's got 2080Ti ready for sale a week later?

I deal with a lot of old hardware, and of all graphics cards that still perfectly work after many years Inno3D on green side and Sapphire on red side appear more than any other brands. I would especially advice against ASUS and MSI when it comes to cards, and I always do, as those companies spend way more money on placing as many "Gaming" on their products than on actual products. Also I absolutely do love Inno3D iChill series, those indeed are something to check out if one wants their card to last long.

its just thier gimmick lol msi is a good brand mine is still running cool after 3 years had passed although not the best temps anymore but i get 67 max im suprised though few ppl not mentioning anything about galax

nvidia makes the chip, the gpu mfg makes the pcb, cooler, fans

10xx and later gpus are very flexable on performance, depending on power delivery and cooling

with gigabyte, msi, asus you are paying a little more for the name and advertising
galax, gainward, inno are cheaper but can perform as good
