What psu model do you have.
Some are good, some are junk.
As for GPU I would look at Vega64 or 5700 XT instead. Or just get a used 1080 Ti
As Vega56 is only going to step you up to 1070 performance, so not worth getting.
I wouldn't use less than a 650W for the Vega 56 or 64. They're power hungry cards, though the rest of GCN was as well. That's just preference though, 550W might work just fine if the unit is quality.
Yeah, bad quality unit and more likely to blow up. You'll want to replace the PSU no matter what hardware you're using for gaming, because those units are notorious for blowing up and killing hardware.
