LG Monitor response time setting?

I have a 22MK430H-B connected via HDMI, in the OSD there's a response time tab with off, normal, fast, and faster as the available settings and I have no clue what to set it to.

According to the LG spec sheet for your monitor the faster setting is 5ms response time so I would expect the slower settings to have a longer response time, whether it makes a difference or not is ?

Well, the display is 75hz, which is 13.3ms per frame update, so I don't expect there to be any ghosting on either of the fast settings.
So it doesn't really matter.

Does response time (Grey to Grey) affect frame rate/time? I thought they were a seperate thing.

Edit: done some quick reading and I see now what you mean with the ghosting comment Autumn.

Yeah set it to faster and instantly got a ♥♥♥♥ ton of ghosting

No, but if pixel response times are too slow then you'll get ghosting. GtG is nonsense really, because pixel transitions can vary by quite a bit, depending on tech. You really want the worst case scenarios which won't show themselves until the display has been fully tested by pros.

A slight delay may go unnoticed, though. It depends on the individual, but ideally you want transitions to be faster than refresh intervals.

Thanks for the explanation and I had done some quick research on this myself and now understand the ghosting comment from Autumn.

the responce itme if often a limit of the lcd panel not the driving circuit

turning off all visual features can reduce input lag, but will not change the panels responce time
