Best pair of GPU for CPU ( Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 2.66 GHz)
I've been trying to look for graphics card that suit my processor without upgrading it. I searched that the Intel Core 2 Duo is a pretty decent processor for gaming. I want to know which graphics card is best for my cpu without bottleneck. Like they are made for each other suppose that Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 is my only available processor.

Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 2.66 GHz
4 GB RAM
550W PSU
NVIDIA 7600 GT(current)
Bought this old 2nd hand PC for cheap.

Thing is, while old, this CPU-s are not as bad as might seem. They still outperform a lot of modern stuff like tablets and cheap laptops by far.
I've done "almost free gaming PC" buld kind of similar to what OP describes some time ago (mostly for the fun of the process).
It's C2D E8600, terrible cheap office G31-based motherboard, 4GB DDR2-800, GTX660 and some random old 500W PSU.
Kind of surprizing how much games (including modern ones) it can run. Pretty much anything apart from what's called "AAA games" nowadays.

If i was to give some advice...
Check your motherboard/chipset, it is the most important part. Depending on that you might have different RAM (and different max ram capacity) and different CPU support. It is possible to buy better dual-core (E8500/E8600) or quad core CPU-s for a price of average cup of coffee, assuming motherboard supports it. Adding more RAM if possible will help A LOT too.
For GPU - what i actually tried and it worked fine are GTX660 and GTX750TI. Other than that - just have to be careful with the fact that some cards may have issues with legacy BIOS and pci-e 1.0. Probably better to search for compatibility info on specific cards once you find something you want to buy.

That CPU is over 10 years old. It will not run any modern games playable, some modern games will not even start.

No matter what GPU you put next to it, it will not play modern titles.

Keep saving up for a new motherboard, CPU and DDR4 RAM. Then buy an APU such as the 2200g which generally does really well in gaming. That is the cheapest way of getting a PC which can game.

I don't really have the latest games but I just want CS:GO, Warframe, Dota 2, Borderlands 2 to work. :)

But the age of your hardware might causes issues with more modern cards. I have seen it happen quite a lot that cards of the GTX 700 series and newer don't work in Core2 machines with early 775 motherboards.

What's your budget? And most of those games are CPU heavy, you might want to upgrade the CPU a tiny bit.

If it's 10 years old I would just replace it. I wouldn't trust it to not blow up.

It will still not be enough to play anything modern. Even the slowest modern CPUs are twice as fast as the fastest Core2 CPU.

You could have bought a new PC 10x better then this for all the money you are going to stick in to this machine..

if you spend $100 on a 4th or newer gen i5/i7 office desktop, it will be 10x faster
and still low end for gaming
but good enough to handle a 1050-1660ti and capable of playing modern games at low-mid+ settings 1080p

OP I saw in your other thread you said you were 16? What you could do is find a job during winter break or summer, you can save up to a pretty good pc that way.

a buddys kid got a job at a restaurant at 16
works 10-15hrs a week washing dishes* during busy times
gets $15/hr
*by washing dishes, hes just loading and unloading the dishwasher

hes saving up for a next gen console and games, already has a great gaming rig

if he can pull that off and keep his grades up, im sure you can find a similar job
