Problems with iCue
Hi guys. I have a Corsair M65 Elite, and since a couple of days ago I've had problems with it. The left mouse button would sometimes ignore clicks and the browser buttons wouldn't work at all. I deleted iCue and re-installed it, and that instantly solved the problem. But then about 10 minutes later it started to happen again, and when I opened iCue I found an error message warning me that the Macro service had failed and iCue needed to be repaired/reinstalled.

What does this suggest to you? A problem with this version of Corsair iCue? Or something systemic like an HDD fault? I haven't had any other memory problems.

Sounds similar to a problem I've had with my M65 Pro RGB.
My problem was that the back and forward buttons didn't work anymore with (probably) the same error message.

I weirdly solved the problem by assigning a macro to those buttons that were not working, and simply setting the macro to what they're supposed to do.

Error message gone, buttons still working after 8 months. I did it in a way older version of iCue but it could still work :)
I did some more digging, apparently the left-click problem is absolutely infamous on Corsair mice, dating back to at least 2016 or earlier. There doesn't seem to be a solution, and Corsair Support is refusing to admit it even exists. Even though a thirty-second Google search brings up dozens of threads & posts.
Same problem here with my Corsair M65 Elite. First buy from Corsair and probably the last. I have a dual boot windows 10 / Linux manjaro. Fun fact is : there is absolutely NO ISSUE on linux. So the problem is software-sided, not mechanical. I don't know what's happening in Corsair R&D, but it's pathetic.
I guess I'm the only one that doesn't have a problem, I have the M65 PRO RGB and I haven't quiet had any issues with iCUE at all.. Not exactly sure what your problem is then. Probably software related I'm assuming.
I wrote too quickly.. Problem remains on my Linux. To be honest, this strange behavior is pretty random, and difficult to diagnose.
I successfully RMA'd one M65 for this exact issue, and now it's happening again after about 4 months. I wonder if it's a physical or software issue... there isn't really anyway I know of to be sure.
