Keyboard and Mouse won't wake up PC from Sleep
For some odd reason neither my mouse or keyboard can wake my PC up from sleep. What also happens is that my keyboard's lights will blink once for a quick second when I try and wake the computer. Pressing on my mouse will have the lights glowing signifying that power is being delivered through the device. The settings for waking the pc up are all checked too for both devices. Only way to actually wake the PC is up is to press the power button. What exactly is going on here?

others argue, sleep mode is a laptop windows feature that desktops can access but is not recommended just let your monitor sleep not the pc unless its a laptop

That should normally do it. I assume you've already googled the issue. Have you tried all the steps in this article?

Yeah, I've google the problem and already came across that article. Nothing on there worked. I feel like this started to happen a few updates ago. Just didn't bother to investigate until now.

i know my old dell has his own stand bye mode because its an office pc but i still wont put it to sleep at all, just leave it on until it needs to restart from windows updates, sometimes i can unplugg the mouse and keyboard and get it to awake without the power button not sure for you good luck

If the kb nor mouse won't wake the pc, simply do a quick press of the case power button to bring it out of sleep mode.

Yeah, that seems like the only solution.

Change the device power options in device manager for kb, mouse and any controllers, as to not allow power saving.
