What is the commonly used software for monitor colour calibration
I’m using the AOC C27G1 which is fine and all but only weird thing that bugs me besides the small blue dead pixel at the center of my screen is how bad the colour accuracy it was right out of the box. Like when I play my games and it shows example something red like I can always see a ugly deep fried hue of blue and green
Is there like a free software that’s commonly used to adjust the colours or something like that
P.S. I’ve tried using the nivida control panel which does get rid of the ugly hue but it leaves my screen looking desaturated

I'm assuming it's a TN panel ? Also have you bother to calibration your moniter using a calibration tool
whatever software comes with the calibration tool you use

if the display has a dead pixel, contact the mfg for rma, or return/exchange it from where you purchased it

It doesn’t bug me too much so I just decided not to go through the trouble

fair play. well in the meantime why dont you use theses settings and see if they improve the overall picture. they wont be perfect as every panel is slightly different but you should hopfully see a noticeable improvement https://pcmonitors.info/reviews/aoc-c24g1/

Windows has an inbuilt calibration tool.
Control panel>color management>open the advanced tab at the top. calibrate display.

but without a tool its useless, since the tool actually looks at the displays output
I’ll try to find a place that lends a colorimeter since I’m not a fan of dropping 100+ into the can over something I’ll only use once

You can rent a colorimeter from many photography shops if you can't afford to buy one outright. Otherwise, if you're acquainted with any graphic designers, now might be a good time to call in a favour (or owe them one) and borrow theirs.

On the off chance you bought the monitor from Amazon within the past year, they will probably replace it. Amazon's customer service policy is insanely good.
