Realtek RTL8188EU wifi adapter running extremely slow
My computer has been running slow for months now. My wifi on my phone is working great. I’ve been trying to fix this thing since summer started and i’m on the verge of just installing a new adapter

The thing is though i updated my computer last monday and as soon as it came back on it was working perfectly. It was fast and most of my videos and pages loaded in seconds. the next day however it was back to doing what it was doing before the update. this is honestly starting to get infuriating and i just want to be able to use my computer again.

Im on Windows 10 and I use Firefox as my browser, please help

Try changing the adapters settings.
Device manager, networking, device name, properties.

Also try another dns, but this is better to set in the router if you can, such as Google DNS or Open DNS for both IPv4 and IPv6

i changed the adapter settings a while ago (i enabled EnableAdaptivity and turned off Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power) while it worked the first time it’s not working now

Uninstall the driver from control panel, programs and features. Once finished, reinstall the latest driver for that from realtek.com
