i5 9600k 5ghz 1.25v
it's very easy to overclock this CPU, i don't need more but i'm pretty sure i can reach 5.5ghz :)
I wonder how people struggle with 4.8ghz and 1.35v....
For 250$, you can't have better :)

I believe you followed the video instructions properly, where I think there may have been user error is either the stress test or how you monitor your temperature. While Prime95 is running at Small FFTs make sure every core is running at 100%.
i have made the same OCCT test, and i can confirm my CPU was at 100%.....
What program are you using to monitor temp? I suggest you use HWInfo64 ... Just seems really hard to believe you would get such a low temp on all 8 cores during a small FFTs stress test. I feel like a pri*k doubting you, but hey if your overclock works and temps are actually safe then sweet!

I have used exactly like the guy and Hwinfo64, and the i5 9600K has only 6 cores, but don't worry, for tomorrow I will record the test for you...5 min...cause the temps are constant....
Dude there is no joke, It's my first overclock, and I'm really surprised how it's simple....I hesitate to switch to the i9 9900K, for gaming, it seems hotter, that's all.

Oops my bad, I thought you had a 9700K... may partly explain why the temps are lower. I already said once but just a reminder to pay attention to each individual core temp instead of just an average value of all the cores. As well as much sure to run the stress test for a long while to let the temps raise and level out. (Again I am sorry to bother you man, I'm just wanting to make sure everything is correct I guess.

Run prime 95 avx small ffts I can assure you , you will crash within minutes unless you have indeed hit the silicon lottery but I doubt that .
now it's very stable with any test, 1.32V 5.ghz 60°C at full load :), but for gaming 1.24V is stable :)
thanks to "Cloudy Canadian"....
I can push it but i don't need.
you are not getting 60c at full load with prime95 @ 5ghz 1.32. not sure why youre lying but not here to judge. enjoy

I have only tested OCCT like the videos someone has suggested me. And i had 60°C.....

Try turning down the voltage a little bit and add an AVX offset of 3 or so, and run Prime95 since it is a much more aggressive stress test. It may require some trial and error but you'll get something that would fully work and safe. Since you are mainly only gaming maybe consider setting the Max and min CPU Cache Ratio to only 42 or 43 to increase stability.

run Prime 95 v26.6 with FTT 1344 - 1344. Monitor temperature with MSI afetrburner for example. I can garuntee you that you wont get down to 60C without modification at your voltage and clock.

Send a screenshot when you actually do. I overclock a lot of CPU's on nearly daily basis. This would be the first CPU performing that well that I see by nearly 20-25C over the rest.
baha he is lying, no screenshot or video years later. 60c @ 1.32v on 9600k... Maybe if he is in -0 ambient temps.

Those numbers are perfectly viable, but, why did you carry out such a foul necromatic ritual to make an obviously false statement?...
i have now i9 9900k....you want a new test ? this cpu is hotter...at 5.2 it crashes
do you have additional power connector for CPU? i mean 8+4.
no....i have standard connector

He means in - likely - top left of board where you plug in the cpu power, not just the 24 pin, there isn't really a standard, some use a 4 pin, some an 8, 8+4 and all the way upto two 8 pins.

Personally, I don't care if my cpu's pass prime95 or occt tests, I only use my systems for gaming and go for gaming stable, they'll never be under thst kind of crazy load so no need for torture test stable.

Nice that you got a 5.2 chip though :)

at 5.2 it crashs...5.1 stable.
Oh... At what power? Feed it more :)
