i5 9600k 5ghz 1.25v
it's very easy to overclock this CPU, i don't need more but i'm pretty sure i can reach 5.5ghz :)
I wonder how people struggle with 4.8ghz and 1.35v....
For 250$, you can't have better :)

There are other things you should disable/change to make an overclock more stable besides just increasing core voltage.

Also just becuase a game runs on it doesn't make it stable, try running Prime95 stress test at Small FFTs for a few hours and see if it's still stable and if temperature are still safe.

With tweaking and maybe an AVX offset you could probably hit 5.2GHz, but I highly doubt 5.5GHz to all cores.

But i have bought for gaming, so if i can play non-stop without crash : it's stable ;)

If all your games run without the system crashing and that's all you do then so be it. Although if you have any trouble overclocking any higher I am more than willing to help with suggestions.

(Also what CPU cooler and case are you using, and while under 100% CPU load for awhile what temperature do you hit?)

I have no game which can push at 100% the CPU, my UE4 games are very CPU intensive, like Insurgency Sandstorm or Assetto Competizione....Maybe BFV can push it at 100%.....
With Insurgency Sandstorm i have max 60° for the CPU....
I use H115i and carbide 540.
The GPU is at 77 max° with fan at 20%....I need to change the thermal paste....

You should try running Prime95 at Small FFTs to test your CPU at full load to find out what temps you get for "worst case scenario" . (Although 60°C while gaming on a CPU intensive title is a good sign.)

I can do it for you :) wait.

Run the test for at the very least 10 minutes to make sure the temp has fully climbed up. (And obvously stop it if its going above 90°)

You can save the overclock profile you have made and use it still if you wish. Although I suggest you make a second profile in your BIOS and follow this video, it will likely allow you to go above 5.0GHz even with intensive tests like Prime95 at small FFTs running.

(Always make sure to monitor your temperatures while doing tests though! And may be wise to update your BIOS before doing any overclocking, but it likely will delete your overclock profile.)

thanks i will try, cause my OC was only two clicks and 10 seconds....I don't really want to spend hours on it, cause it's for gaming....

Not trying to be a pain in the butt, just trying to help. If you are happy with your overclock and it works for gaming then it doesn't matter as long as the temps are safe.
