My experience with the RTX 2080ti so far

So: My first 2 2080tis I got died within the first hour of use. One had dead LEDs and a dead fan, the other wasnt recognized by my OS and stopped giving me a display out.

My 1st replacement set worked well. Until I had to replace them about 2 months ago once they both started showing the famous spaceinvader artifacts.

My 2nd replacement set works kinda well. Ignoring the fact that they underperform 1070s in SLI in some games. And I tested those 2 cards in multiple sysztems: SLI on and Off. Even in Blender they just dont perform at all. Some drivers seem to fix this, some seem to make it worse.

That's some bad luck. What 2080 ti's do you have?

I have a MSI Duke and I've had no problems with it.

My experience with that was my first one was an Asus RTX 2080 Ti ROG Strix Gaming Advanced which at first worked great, but after a week I once and a while had the screen flicker. By week two my games had artifacts and low framerate. So for free I had it sent back to Newegg for a full refund.

So for my second try I went with an Asus RTX 2080 Ti ROG Strix Gaming OC instead, and I have had zero issue with it so far for about four months now. It's fans all work and aren't loud on stock fan curve. It's temp with the stock fan curve in my case under load is normally 70°C. Was able to overclock it's core clock 100MHz without touching the default voltage too. Sadly it still has Micron memory but not really a big deal as long as it still runs without glitches. Although I don't use DLSS, I really like ray tracing and NVENC encoding on this GPU.
