Intel 660p, is it worth it?
Has anyone dealt with intel 660p NVMe ssd? 1tb is on sale at the moment and wondering if it’s good enough to run games off of

What's the price on it?

NVMe won't really help with loading Games. Most of my games are on a 1TB WD Blue M.2 SATA SSD and I use a 250GB Samsung 970 EVO Plus M.2 NVMe SSD as a boot drive. There is no noticeable difference between loading times and no FPS gain when loading a game from a SATA SSD vs. an NVMe SSD.

Personally, I'd go with a SATA SSD for storing games and use the extra money to get a higher capacity

OK that changes things, I'm not that good on $ pricing as I'm in the UK but that sounds pretty good for a 1TB NVMe SSD.

It does.

All ssd give very similar gaming performance, due to how the game is compressed.

As long as it's legit, I'd buy it at that price. I'd definitely google the serial no. though, not saying the shop is trying to rip you off but it's always good to do due diligence.

Get the 2TB if you can; it's been on sale in the US for $175 in recent months.

OK, I might have to order that in the US and import it. I'd be looking around the £200 ($243) mark to buy that where I live.

Doesn’t that depend on your type of NVME though? My m.2 ports happen to be both PCIe and SATA based rather than SATA alone which is why I asked :-).

Even with PCIe, it has very little effect on loading times in games compared to SATA SSDs.

I'm not sure, I'm using an Aorus Z390 Pro. I got the M.2 SATA SSD on sale (I was looking for a 2.5" SSD but the M.2 was cheaper by £4), I checked with PC Part Picker for any compatibility issues (like taking bandwidth from the 16X lane) and everything checked out.
