Color "uniformity" issue
Hi everyone!
So lately I realized that most of the color gradient were not uniformed in my games and that I could differentiate the layers of a color(mostly dark ones or when there is lights on a dark background for ex :when looking at the sky at night time in GTA V or underwater in Fallout 4).
I'm using a Iiyama G-Master GE2788HS set on limited range rgb(full range rgb won't solve my issue I've already tried changing it to full range on both nvidia control panel and the screen settings)
and my computer specs are:
GTX 1660/AMD Ryzen 5 2600/MSI B450 GAMING PLUS/ 16GB RAM
(i'm using windows 10 64bit )
Thanks for taking the time to answer.
(I hope i'm in the right forum ^^')

Are you describing color banding? I'm not 100% clear. Something like this?

Probably not much you can do on your end if the issue isn't caused on your end. A nicer monitor may help a bit in the instances where the monitor is the limitation, an IPS screen for example. But even on my IPS screen I see color banding in Fallout 4 too. It's an issue with the engine. And it's not always a monitor issue. If it's a limitation of the game, unless there's a mod or game specific settings to tweak, at some point things just look how they look.

Yeah that's it! I was talking about color banding (sorry for my lack of vocabulary ^^').
and yeah I guess i'll try to just change to a better monitor then.

it can also be bad led/cfl lighting in the display
try test patterns/screen colors, or try another display

when i was playing fallout 4 or GTA V on my laptop it was way less noticable but then again I was playing with a 17" screen with a resolution of 1366x768.

Well like I said, I've got a really nice IPS Gsync monitor, and Fallout 4 will still have color banding under water because it's not a monitor issue.

that res sounds like an older display, check the date, if its from around 2005-2010 it may have bad caps or other bad cfl, which can cause discoloring

I was just saying that in comparison my old laptop could properly show the colors but now the issue is not with that screen but with the Iiyama G-Master GE2788HS.

Sooo it would seem its an issue with Nvidia Graphic cards and there is not much you can do about it until they decide to fix it.
Thanks everyone for the help!
