Does monitor ghosting make games feel laggy?
Recently I've noticed that while playing ill be at 60 fps but it will feel like i'm lagging or stuttering
I've tried playing on lower settings, disabling anti aliasing to no avail. all the research that i have done has turned up nothing.

The effect only happens when i'm moving the camera with my mouse (doesn't happen when strafing with the keyboard)

Rust

Limit your FPS to 60 in RivaTuner Statistics Server and don't use V-Sync.

If there's no framerate limitation, fluctuations in FPS can cause stutters.

monitor ghosting is when he monitors responce time takes longer than its refresh rate

games can look ghostly when they use blur/blend effects

but if the cursor or moving windows in desktop look ghostly then its an issue with the display
if the display has a 5ms or lower responce time it can be bad caps in the display causing the problem

Moving the cursor and moving windows leaves sort of a trail behind it, I'm planning on buying a new monitor soon anyways, My monitor is a generic HP (W2371D) Monitor that I've had since 2014. The specifications say that the monitor has a 5ms response time so I guess its just failing.

5ms (if that's average pixel response time) won't matter, the pixels would update 3x faster than it takes for a new frame ti be displayed. (16.66ms)

Do this, you're probably getting frametime spikes.
Even though you're getting 60 fps doesnt mean youre getting perfect 16.66ms frametimes, you could get a variance of ~5ms either way with a GPU framelimiter (like most gamesinbuilt FPS cap) but with RTSS, a CPU based FPS limiter, you get perfect 16.66ms frametimes, resulting in much smoother gameplay.

hp says its 5ms, its most likely a bad cap in its tcon or main boards

easy fix, even without desoldering tools
remove bulged/leaking caps, solder new cap to its pads (mark polarity on the board before removing)
replacement cap can have higher voltage and mf rating

You need 64fps/64hz for those games, not 60.
RTSS works best.

this is not game related
what it is doing is bouncing around, what you can do is lower a few settings

I really don't need to say anymore about this in particular. Read the snip from the original post that you didn't carefully read.

Vulkan API runs better than other APIs, that's literally the only reason it's working. And I told you I don't give two ♥♥♥♥♥ what you do or say so long as you keep the misinformation away from people who would think you actually know 90% of what you preach.

if you really knew about ''breaking more computers before learning to actually fix them, then your not a true tech!'' i dont remember all the names of every CPU thats on the shelf, but i do my best to help my friends on steam because i relate to underated crowds and builds you relate to 2080tis and the 1% percenters majority on steam are of the 98 ninety eighters like myself the rx480 and 1060 guys with capable systems for the next 25 years with updated hard ware, new psu every year, new hdd and gpu every other year, we will last longer than any high end work stations and mining rigs like yours

It doesn't matter what specs a system has, it's going to need replacement eventually one way or another, that's fact.

It's even more true when there's two major competitors (Intel & AMD) constantly pushing each other. There weren't even any good 6 and 8 core CPUs that the masses could afford until AMD released Ryzen, and Intel had to follow suit. They couldn't hold back anymore.
As a result, games are starting to actually use 6 and 8 cores, and 12 and 16 core CPUs are quickly going to become the top end thanks to Ryzen 9.

People can also resist changing their system all they want, it doesn't make them better or worse, so drop your ego before you tell me to drop something that I don't even display.

I also don't mine. Cryptocurrency was dead, came back, but it was shot dead again.

Last EDIT: Don't talk ♥♥♥♥ until you actually play more than Doom at 1440p, when even a 1050 Ti can do Ultra 1440p. You tried it before and failed because you weren't on Vulkan.
The criteria of a success for that card at 1440p would be at least 60 FPS stable on ultra preset~maxed without dropping settings... and picking games that are notoriously simple to run even on iGPUs really don't count.

i did not fail actually, that was the stock settings it was on from the launch of the game, but now im the new king, you can enjoy them 12 cores and lose performance all day i will kick back wet the whistle and play 1440p gaming til my new build next year if i do build one for myself. my life isnt even computers and i learned more than techs 25 years in the game proof 100%

your the type to buy a GPU thats DOA, buy 4 more and get 5 DOA gpus and still recommend them because of naive to hard ware and computer skills
