If you have Arris though, those are junk. I'd call the ISP and request their better TechniColor model of modem if available. Or check what modems are compatible with your ISP and opt out of the rental fee from isp and go buy your own Motorola modem with latest gen specs
Well, My ISP is Xfinity (Comcast), Don't know if you have that in your area. The Arris is made by Motorola, Look it up and you will see. Arris purchased the Motorola Home division from Google for $2.35 billion. The modem is not provided by my ISP, Their modem rents out for 13 dollars a month and I got tired of paying for something I will never own. My ISP provider offers different speed selections for different prices, I am getting around 70 mb's a second as far as speed. It works for me. As far as quality with Video, I use a large screen 4K Television as a monitor and everything is crystal clear.
At the moment, Everything is good. I will keep your advice in mind. Thank you for your feedback
What are you paying for. Their 150mbps is dirt cheap now.
If you want your own modem for Comcast, then I'd suggest

Remember, after a certain point, its not the bandwidth, but what you do with it. qos can go a long way at home if it turns out someone stupid is ruining it for you and they live in the same house.
also as a purist when it comes to network connectivity, i still get confused when people call modems firewalls or routers. That's like calling the monitor the computer and the computer case the hard drive. but like I said, I am a purist for things like network stuff.
