PS4 Blinking orange light on PC fix?
OK so i've been trying to hook up my controller to my pc for a couple days now. doing everything that the internet said to fix the problem but nothing worked. well i was going to delete a spam program and i noticed an app called Hid Guardian something well i thought it looked familiar so when i went to delete the drivers for the 30th time i noticed the HID GUARDIAN as a driver so i went and deleted the app and plugged my controller in and opened ds4 and it showed up in 2.5. make sure your controller is unplugged and ds4 is closed when you delete the app. make sure all driver tabs are closed too couldn't be too careful. sorry for ranting i am extremely happy i may have solved it. idk if this is in the right forum idrk where to post it

Plug in your DS4 and uninstall all the drivers and software related to it ticking the "remove this driver from the system" box. Install SCP Toolkit and use its driver installation tool. Enjoy your DS4.

Unless it has been updated recently SCP Toolkit does not work with v2 DS4 controllers.

Why so much work? Ds4 should work fine without any drivers, steam makes sure of that.

Steam makes sure it somewhat works in some games. Try DirectInput, try older games, try non-Steam games. I don't feel like configuring my controller for each and every XInput-supported game.
