Any way to fix a broken hdmi port
My friend got a used computer and everything works except for the hdmi port on the gpu. The gpu is a RX 580. He tried other DVI as well, does anyone know a fix.

Does it have a DisplayPort you could use with an adapter? Was your friend told that the HDMI port is defective? He may have grounds for a replacement.

RMA the card under makers warranty.
Or even through the seller if something is defective that wasn't said so in the sellers listing.

Or buy a dp to hdmi cable.

Make sure to use the video ports on the gpu card, not the motherboard area.

if its just the hdmi port, it can be replaced, but takes smd soldering skills with a heat gun and the correct replacement port
or just use a dvi/dp -> hdmi adapter

but as bad said, if the card is under 1yr old or in warranty, rma it
