GPU Help
Hi Everyone,
Need help with picking a GPU. Trying to decide between 1060 and 1070 - want to play games at high - ultra and games like CSGO and other AAA titles at 1080p. Want card to last at least a year! Your recommendations?
Thanks!

GTX 1060 6 GB is fine for 60 Hz 1080p. GTX 1070 or 1070 Ti when you have 144 Hz monitor.

If you want to max stuff out and can afford it, go for the 1070, the 1060 will struggle in some titles.

CS:GO runs 1920x1080p ultra at 144+fps on 1050ti.

Csgo, barely uses the GPU, it depends on the CPU.

Even a G4560 permits 144+fps with a GTX 1050ti on that game.
Is a well optimized and lightweight game.

Wow, I just looked at gpu prices, if I were you I'd just get a $250-$260 GTX1060 3GB just make sure you've got 16GB system ram with those 3GB cards.

I really wouldn’t invest in 3gb, it’ll limit you.

TBH, I wouldn't throw $460usd at a GTX 1060 6GB even if it made coffee too.

1060 is minimum for high at this time on games being released recently. Future games are going to take more. I would recomment at least a GTX 1070.

You could always try to snag a used GTX970 and then Overclock it a bit. I assure you it is enough to run titles at ultra on 1080p

Thanks man, Newegg has/had a PNY GTX 1060 6GB card on backorder for $299.99 + $4.99 S&H, $304.98 total, I ordered it, hoping they do get it back in stock as I have no intention of paying any more for a 1060 from a 3rd party seller, it's not the brand I wanted nor the card I wanted (wanted a 1070 FTW) but it's better then waiting another few month's for the Volta's or upgrading my 5 year old FX build (Cringe).
