Issues with 7.1 Surround audio (Logitech G633)
(also posted on r/LogitechG) I've had this problem for a while now, thought I'd fixed it but it's starting to bug me once again.

What'd happen in games is, sound coming directly in front or behind me would either be really quiet or not audible at all, instead I'd only be able to hear sound coming from the sides. After some troubleshooting I decided to uninstall drivers and Logitech softwares. It was working fine, well until there I encountered another audio glitch, where all in-game sound (Youtube sound etc. were fine, game intros and steam overlay sound were fine too, just in-game sound) would sound distorted, demonic and buzz-like. I decided to re-install the softwares, that seemed to fix the issue, even though neither of the softwares were "detecting" the headset.

I thought I was done but no, the 7.1 Surround audio issue is still a problem, logitech softwares are for some reason forcing the headset to be 7.1 surround, while stereo was just fine. I tried to force the headset to stereo by following this guide. But for me there's no interface at the "advanced" tab. I'm also using the "Equalizer APO" software to increase overall sound, to help me with competitive games, I've tried forcing the headset to stereo from there but it doesn't seem to be working. I'd appreciate any advice, thanks.

Edit: Forgot to mention that now for some reason the glitch is "reversed", now there's no audio coming from the sides or behind, only directly in front. Though I believe it differs from game to game, still, it's no better.

..meaning everything else that isn't in the usb flash will be gone?

Yes, if you have any needed files stored on the usb flash drive, copy them elsewhere first. As to make aN os installer media, the drive or media must be wiped in the process.

So guys, I did it, Frank-- an official at r/LogitechG provided a solution and it seems to be working (for now) Here's the solution.

1. Go to Device Manager (WIN+PAUSE|BREAK)

2. Click on View at the top and view devices by container

3. Look for your headset/speaker and expand it. You are looking for the named part, so for example: Logitech Pro X Gaming Headset, or Logitech G560 Gaming Speaker.

4. Right click and choose properties > Driver

5. The Driver Provider should be Logitech, if its Microsoft you don't need to change the driver.

6. If its Logitech, then click Update Driver > Browse my computer for driver software > Let Me pick > and choose USB Audio Device.

7. This should update back to Microsoft standard drivers

Hopefully this works for anybody else experiencing the same issue.
