It's not that easy with the case tho. Old mobo's Micro ATX, new one is ATX. If your mobo takes all the place in your case - then a new one won't fit, else it most likely will.
well the case is a problem then...the asssrock occupy all the space aviable and the rx 590 barely fits i have two fingers away from the hdd box.
2. You don't need 3800 MHz with a 1900 MHz FCLK, it's something to desire because that's the best possible result from Zen2, as small of a difference it may be in most games. At least in North America, Flare X and Trident Z Neo cost the same.
3. RX 590 is basically an overclocked 580... There really isn't a point in getting one. Just get an RX 580 instead.
I would the corsair ram will work perfectly fine (unless you actually get a bad stick or something). I never pay attention to qvl but then again I don't overclock.
Have you looked on pcpartpicker at the finished builds section and seen if people used that ram with that board?. If they say it's good then it should be compatible. I really think that ram should work at stock. As far as oc he might be right.
It's not about compatibility, you're not understanding it properly.
The sole reason one would want 3600 CL16 is the ease of overclocking to 3800 MHz so they can maximize Zen2's performance.
Flare X is 3200 CL14, better for compatibility with the lower quality boards that have more spotty memory support.
I already have all the parts(cpu ,mainboard ,ram missing),and im using the rx 590 right now, coming from a 750 ti.
Yikes. Well you made a bad choice in model, given the price of the NITRO+ being a bit high for the target market that AMD cards are in with the mid-range. In some cases I've seen it cost as much as 1660 Ti models that beat it by a decent margin.
PULSE cards are usually much cheaper, and the difference in performance between PULSE and NITRO+ is usually tiny.
Well, was discounted and cost like 30 more than a 580 so i decided to take this one..and it's gold lol and those extra fps ( i see a difference of 15 or more between the 580 and the 590 ,draw a little bit less power and because im coming from an old 750 ti those 30 euro more was worth it )
If he gets a lower quality board, the board itself might give him issues even if he gets great ram though right?.
