But yeah, the 2080 should be fine for 1440p144hz at high/ultra settings.
And, that would depend on what you're doing / games youre playing.
Bottnecking isn't as simple as x CPU will bottleneck y GPU.
There is always a bottleneck in any build.
Any CPU + Any GPU = Bottleneck
otherwise you'd have unlimited performance,
you might start seeing SOME bottleneck in 1440p on newer AAA titles though, not much so you're good
The key is to have a balanced pc, not a powerful GPU alone
My 2070 does that just fine-- with a 144/165 hz 1440p monitor
