Have you tried playing with the antennaes on your router or the direction it's facing to see if it affects your speeds?. I've found it does so in case you feel like doing that it might make it faster. Do you know how fast you're supposed to be getting from your ISP?.
When connected to ASUS 2.4 GHz it's 150 Mbps.
And when connected to ASUS 5 GHz it's 433 Mbps.
Speed test results are similar no matter do I test them via 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz or LAN.
I'm supposed to get 10 download and 2 upload.
But I never had those speeds.
Download is usually between 5 and 8 and upload is usually between 0.2 and 0.4
But I don't see how that has anything to do with my problems with double NAT.
And I was sitting next to the router while playing. Haven't tried moving antennas.
I don't have any problems with internet speed.
"Firewall tab"
I also contacted Telecom, explained the situation and they agreed to put ZTE into bridge mode.
I configured ASUS router again and internet works again.
Now WAN IP of ASUS looks like this 100.82.XX.XXX
But my Public IP is 109.175.XXX.XX
Shouldn't those two be the same?
I tried forwarding ports again.
Tried checking are they open on both public and WAN IP address.
They're still closed.
I tried to remotely access the router via https://[WAN IP]:8443
and by using DDNS but I get "This site can’t be reached"
In router settings, DDNS doesn't show "Invalid IP Address!" anymore.
I guess that I need to change some more settings to make this work.
But I don't know what to change.
I can access https://100.82.XX.XXX:8443 while I'm connected to ASUS's network.
Chrome gives me Your connection is not private warning, but I can access the router via WAN IP.
But when I'm connected to another network (my mobile data) I can't access router via WAN IP.
So, I guess that ZTE is still doing something that it shouldn't do.
it is now almost a month since you first posted this problem.
He has internet now. Getting the router fixed it, but he's trying to port forward now I think.
How are you checking if they're open?. Are you using a site like https://www.canyouseeme.org/?
I used this website
https://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/
Should I try checking them in a different way?
I'll try to do that when I get back.
Currently, the IP of ASUS router is 192.168.50.1
It's connected to ZTE modem that has IP 192.168.1.1
What will happen when I change ASUS IP to 192.168.1.1?
Can both ZTE and ASUS even have the same IP?
When you check for open ports, you are using your WAN ip right?. Not your local one?
WAN IP is 100.82.XX.XXX
And Public IP is 109.175.XXX.XX
I tried checking both of them and they're closed.
Well, I meant public IP. What is a WAN ip then?. I thought wan ip was a public ip?. Anyways, whatever ip it is that is representing your home to the world. Have to figure out which one it is because that's the one you'll want to use. Where'd you get both those ip's from?.
As soon as you figure out the one you don't need to mess with then you can cut your problem solving in half because one of those ip's shouldn't matter for checking for open ports from the outside world.
But in my case, they're not.
I see Public IP when I go to website like https://www.iplocation.net/
I see WAN IP when I log in to ASUS router settings.
I think that ZTE is still causing some problems because I think its IP address is my real public IP and it's giving another IP to my ASUS router.
As I said, ASUS WAN IP (100.82.XX.XXX) only exists on the local network.
