Can't connect to the internet

I had some problems with internet in the past few months and I reported the issue to my ISP.
Today they sent somebody to see what's the problem, but I was at work when guy arrived.
When I came back home I saw that he replaced the router.
Router is ZXHN H267N V1.0 V1.0

So I turn on my PC and then I realized that it has no internet access.
Through further investigation, I realized that devices connected to WLAN and LAN1 have internet access, but devices connected to LAN2, LAN3 and LAN4 don't have internet.

I remembered that I have to enable them in router settings, so I did that.

But it still doesn't work.

I have 2 devices that need to be connected to LAN.
My PC and Raspberry Pi.
They both have internet when I connect them to LAN1.
But when I connect them to LAN2, 3 or 4, they don't have internet.

Devices connected to LAN2, 3, and 4 can access stuff from local network, but can't access rest of the internet.

On the old router, both Pi and PC worked at the same time. But on this router, only device connected to LAN1 works.


Can somebody please help me fix this?
I'm tired AF, but I won't be able to fall asleep until I sort this out.

You could buy a router and put the modem in bridge mode but honestly I don't think you can even do that without admin.

They don't have modems.
I asked for 5GHz router and they said that these ZTE Routers are only thing they have.

And even if I buy another router, I don't know how to configure it.
It requires typing some usernames and passwords in some fields. And I don't know those.
But with routers that ISP gives, those stuff is configured automatically via ACS.

If I plug splitter in LAN1 and then plug in PC and Raspberry to splitter?

And would it cause some problems because both devices would be connected to LAN1?

That's why they don't let users mess around with those settings.

Is there anything I can do in the meantime?

I doubt that they would allow me to use 3rd party modem/router.

When he saw that I changed name of the WiFi network and password, he got mad and said to me that I shouldn't change WiFi settings.

Another thing I did was this:
Because I had only one long Ethernet cable and I had to connect PC and STB on the other side of the house, I used Hack #2 from this video

Basically, because devices only use 4 wires and Ethernet cable has 8 wires, I connected them so I can have both PC and STB running through that long cable.
And that's working great, I'm still using it.

But when that guy saw two cables from the router going into one he has gone full crazy and started yelling at me. He was like: "What's this!? You don't have permission to this!"
I nicely explained him what's that and how it works but he told me again that I don't have permission to do that and told me to remove that cable.


I wasn't at home when he replaced router 2 days ago.
But my mom told me that he was angry when he saw that I changed WiFi name and password again and warned me not to change them anymore.


When they get that angry just for simple stuff like changing SSID and using modified Ethernet cables, I doubt they'd be happy if I replaced entire router or connected them via bridge or something.


But I guess purchasing router and trying to figure out something is my only option now?
Can someone recommend me good router that's not too expensive?
I just want it to be fast enough for streaming games to my phone via Steam Link and strong enough to go through walls. Because this ZTE crap can barely send signal to the next room.
Also it would be nice if it supports DD-WRT so I can play around with that.

I never bought router before, so I don't know much about them.
Any help is appreciated.

You need to either put the modem in bridge mode or buy a third party modem/router. Bridge mode, can't be done without admin, third party modems aren't always compatible with the ISP.

I have an RT-AC66U_B1 and it was pretty cheap. Love the ASUS interface of their routers and pretty sure this supports dd-wrt but I don't use it.

But I was under the impression you can simply plug the router into the working ethernet port on the modem and you're good to go. I mean that's what I do and what a lot of people do. Not sure what I'm missing. I guess I'm talking about AP mode which is what normal routers operate on?. Can someone explain to me why he can't just hook up another router to his modem and be perfectly set like everyone else?. Is it a matter of the money?. They're not that expensive.

Edit: I guess they are expensive. Mine looks like is about $100 bucks. I don't remember paying that much for it but I guess I did.

I've got an ASUS as well but I plan on upgrading my router to a Microtik or Ubquiti Enterprise gear is over-powered compared to consumer units.

I don't have separate modem and router.
Router acts as both modem and router.
Telephone cable is plugged in into the router and that's it.

This is how router acts when I plug phone cable in it:
-First I restore it to default settings
-About minute after connecting it automatically downloads new settings from ACS server and reboots itself. After this, I can't log in as admin anymore.
-Then it downloads something again, reboots again and SSID changes to what ISP has set.

But if I log in as admin and disable ACS before router reboots, it doesn't download their settings and I can keep admin access.
But the problem is that without their automatically configured settings, I don't have access to the internet.
I tried manually configuring router settings, but whatever I do, it doesn't work.
I've read somewhere that I have to type PPPoE username and password in those settings.
But I don't have those.


If I purchase new router, I don't know how will it act.
Will it also automatically download settings and change admin password so I can't log in anymore, or I'll have to configure that router manually?
And if I can't configure this router manually, I don't know will I be able to do that when I purchase new router.
