elgato is part of corsair company, a known maker of (desktop and laptop) memory.
Download latest version.
Always right click a known good installer and click Run as admin. Admin accounts on Win8/10 do not make you have system level authority, but clicking run as admin does. After installed, set the properties of the apps exe file, to run as admin for all users. Tick disable full screen optimization as well.
If it happens again, look for errors related to that apps exe or dlls within Event Viewer, Windows Logs, Applications for details
