Acer Predator Helios 300 and Steam Problems

I recently bought this laptop. Acer Predator Helios 300 PH315-51-54ED.
Specs: Intel i5-8300H, Geforce GTX1050Ti, 8GB DDR4 SDRAM.
I've been on the website and updated all the drivers where required and the nvidia driver is 419.72.

So the problem is mainly with steam big picture. When I click play (in BP mode) nothing happens. Games Ive tried FF13-2 and Civilization 5.
When I play FF13-2 in normal steam mode , the speakers are emitting a constant drone. This only happens in this game. Sound is fine in other games and applications.

Any ideas?
