Pc shuts off randomly . PSU problem?
I have had a problem lately where my pc shuts off randomly when i either boot up to windows or launch a game. The pc still "run" with the applycations running (i can here them), but the screen turns black and the fans turn to max rpm (connected with corsair link/icue, Corsair commander pro) witch tells me that windows has crached but the pc is still on since the fans turn and there is still rgb light on them.

I have been looking online for people with the same problem and i have found that it is either the tempratures or the psu. I am quite sure that it is not the temps on the CPU, GPU or the motherboard since they are all reading safe tempratures acording to HWMonitor. So that leaves me with the PSU. I am using the Corsair RM650x gold rated. Is this PSU known to have problems, i have only had it for a year. Is there anyone that have experinced this before? I much appreciate any suggestions.

Is your PC on carpet & is the PSU fan in the bottom?

Ok, so not that. I looked up the Corsair RM650x and it seems to have a lot of good reviews so it's not a notoriously bad PSU. Might be worth opening the PC up & checking all of the cables are plugged in properly (HDD/SSD connections too), they're probably fine but it doesn't cost anything to check & maybe one of power cables has come a little loose.
could also be gpu.

to rule out psu/gpu problem:
remove discrete gpu and use built-in gpu or another known working gpu.
use another known working quality psu.

any other signs (such as burnt smell, etc) ?

I would reseat the RAM, GPU and all connectors then run memtest overnight and see how that goes.

Then grab a copy of prime95 (or whatever cpu test you prefer) and run that for a good 30 mins (keeping an eye on temps of course) and see if it crashes.

Also run Furmark (or again whatever gpu test you prefer, keeping an eye on temps of course) in the same fashion, and again see if it crashes. Basically stress out different components and see what gives.

Good luck!
