Asus AI Suite 3 error after KB4056892

Considering this may apply to quite a few users, posting this so those affected won't waste their time looking for a fix, like I did. For anyone who has an Asus board and also uses AI Suite 3, the infamous KB4056892 windows update most likely will brick the software. Until Asus releases a patched stable version, the latest beta build does work with the windows update, or at least it did on my Z370/Win10 platform.

So if you got 'server threw an exception error' at logon or noticed your fans running at 100% without any prompt, the following links may interest you.

Servers are overloaded atm so be patient, I got it to finally download after a few tries.

EDIT:

Asus has released AI Suite 3.00.13 DIP 1.05.13(confirmed working). Get it from the support download site for your board. I'll leave the beta link up in case this latest stable version is only for Z370 boards.

From what I saw in the links provided it was affecting boards as old as X79 which if I'm not mistaken only support AI Suite 2. Beyond that not sure if installing 3 will fix it or even install for that matter... sorry.

The thread shows similar reports o Suite II too. What is not clear to me is whether it's Win10-only or W7 is also with the same issue.

Just tried installing AI 3 on my old P9X79WS/Win10 and got the expected 'software does not support this platform'.

From the posters who list their specs, it appears only win10 is experiencing the issue. But both AI 2 and 3 users.

It is saying that the file has been downloaded too many times and to try again in 24 hours. Come on asus. It is your own damn file server. Make some exceptions for your own posts. Additionally, could someone post it to google drive?

I just tried the ai3 beta file from google and it does not work on a z170 hero viii board

error msg on exec is "does not support operating system wnt_10_op_64"

I think you can prob blame MS for this rather than asus, but asus needs to react as soon as possible

Just got the same error on an Asus Z87 Pro after the update, Anyone got the AI suite working after the patch?

It's ok...got It working, used that beta version 3-00-10. rebooted and it's running.

The beta should work with your board. Try downloading it from the link in the op.

Also, before extracting the zip, right-click on it, select properties and tick the unblock box... Apply. After extracted start the installer with AsusSetup.exe in the root of the folder as admin.

Dead for me too after MS update about an hour ago.

EDIT Beta works for me. Z97 Deluxe Win10pro 64.

my machine is now also running using the beta 3.00.10 ai3 suite. machine will not even start with kb4056892 and the old ai suite running at the same time. Had to be into a restore point to get back prior to the windows upg so i could remove the old ai suite

The ASUS web site and servers have always been pretty unreliable. If you don't have the AI Suite, then you're posting something that is off topic.
