If there are user files in that folder structure, copy them to another folder first.
Yes do not use spaces or odd characters in a Windows User Account creation for the name.
For example of my name: I would not use "Bad Motha" or "Bad_Motha", but simply "BadMotha"
As while Windows itself doesn't really care about this, many games can't created user files properly if the user name has a space or odd characters.
Now there is an AppData structure you will need to look at too.
Much of what resides within AppData structure though does pertain to "All Users" via a means of shared data; but some are user per user specific.
If you change the Windows account name via the normal OS methods, this only changes the "Display Name" not the "Folder Name"
For example; if you install Windows OS and create new user; lets say "Bob"
and then at a later time go to User Accounts and change this name to say "Bob Barker"
Bob Barker will only be reflected as "Windows User Display Name"
But in C:\Users it will have "Bob" as that users folder name; because you can not change that by normal means.
