How to enter BIOS
Hello, I tried to factory reset my Lenovo Z570 through windows 10 resetting option but it broke. When starting, I get an error that says "Error installing windows". I'm trying to get Linux using USB but I cant get BIOS to open. I've tried F1,F2,F10,F11 and F12. Also Fn+f2, ctrl+alt+f3, enter and esc. Down the screen it says "please wait" which means the keys got detected but it skips and ignores it and go on to starting windows. I was wondering if there is any other way to open BIOS without using F keys as althought they get detected, my lap ignores them. Thanks in advance.

Which MB do you have?

For example I have a MSI GAMING B85G43 and I have to press F11 before Windows loads.

It's usually Del or F11 on the startup screen.

F11 does nothing. When I press clt+alt+del screen goes black and goes back to starting, so nothing happens too.

You could open your case and look for a name on the board. *bs, since it's a nb.

Ooooor:
Pay attention to the first screen that appears (after restart/start).
Look for a message that indicates which key you need to press to access the BIOS.

It says I need to press F2 or F12. When I press them, I get a message that says "Please wait' but I can not enter bios, it just goes to windows loading screen after one second.

I truly did, I get the message "please wait" so it means the lap detected me pressing f2 or f12, but instead of taking me to bios after "please wait", it skips it and goes to windows loadig screen.

It may be possible, I can go to BIOS through MSI command center when I'm on desktop.
Not sure if your MB has a feature that allows the same.
Go in control panel and somewhere there will be system specs.
Write down here, we'll see how to help you further.

Since it's lenovo..

Are u trying to enter the bios from a restart or cold start?
Make sure the notebook is off and as soon as you see the bios splash screen start tapping away on the F2 button.

Also worth a try hold F2 or F11 (different between lenovo xyz series) while being off and start the notebook.
Or provoke a stuck error and hold 5 keys at the same time, it will bring up an similar f2 for bios message.
Or hold the B Key on boot.

Or visit the lenovo page and dl/run a bios update.

I tried restart and cold start, both. I tried F11 too, didnt work. I tried the sruck error but it shows key is stuck and go on to start windows. I tried holding B but didnt work either.
I dont think i can run an update if I cant access windows?

2 ways you can enter BIOS from the desktop..

1. If you have a modern motherboard, press the "Direct Key" and you'll boot to BIOS.

2. Click the Windows key - Power - hold shift key and click restart (keep holding shift key until menu pops up) - Troubleshoot - Advance - UEFI Firmware settings.

This or just type UEFI into Cortana searchbar
