If you get a separate amp you could pick up a set of my speakers the morduant short genie 2's pretty cheap now if you can find them new, but most likely second hand and the whole set will only cost about 200 bucks, they are old now, but still sound awesome, when new they were around 1200-1500 for the set, but that's a nice thing about audio equipment, it doesn't really age if it's looked after.
Not unless its a good one from them, such as this

Alright, so your suggestion and John Doe's are up for consideration.
Thanks!
But not sure if it will blow your budget since bose is a bit pricy.. :s
The logitech will work fine enough, but maybe worth a look for you.
I'm all ears. Which speakers are talking about?
Also, do you have any microphone suggestions, like what John Doe suggested?
She's talking about Bose Companions.
It's almost impossible to filter out all the speaker noise, either you have to turn it down so low you can't hear, or you turn the mic down so low they can't hear you.
I had marginal success with a Blue Snowball someone gave me, directional mode helped but it still picked up sound from the speakers. Ultimately I had to switch back to headsets...
No one wants to hear themselves talk...
Wish there was a better solution because I HATE wearing headphones. I hate echo and feedback even worse though so yea.

Well, the nt1 is alrdy one of the top notch mic's.
Hmm mxl 770 or akg pro maybe worth a look.
^my bad, yes
So worst-case scenario, which are the best headphones for gaming?
Can I have a combo of headphone + speakers, so I'll use the speakers+mic when I game, and disconnect it when I'm not playing and simply want to listen to the sound from the speakers?
Take a look at Audio Technica headsets, such as these.

Are you saying I should get headphones, whilst having a mic on the other hand - so I could hear the game through my headphones and not speakers, so that everyone whom I communicate with won't hear the echoes, and speakers on the side whenever I don't play and want to blast some music or watch movies?
Okay!
Honestly I never liked gaming headset either, when you could just make a combo of higher quality of hardware.
So I gathered everyone's suggestions. I'll look them up again and then ask you all if it's a great combo - speakers, headphones + microphone for gaming.
Appreciate the feedback!
