My Ultimate Alienware Laptop Setup (So I Could Game in Style at Home!)

If anyone is looking to take full advantage of their Alienware laptop check out the setup that I came up with. I wanted the full desktop experience at home but didn't want to buy a desktop so I figured out the best alternative whiling taking advantage of an extremely powerful gaming laptop. I do have one question, given your laptop already had a 1070, and external GPU tend to eat a good 20-30% of the GPU performance, just how much higher FPS are you getting given you spent $1000ish on the enclosure and 1080ti, as for very similar money, you could likely of built a desktop with a 1080 and gotten the same or better performance as you wouldn't be dealing with the laptop CPU limitations due to cooling.

Beyond that, it's a nice setup, even if it does seem an odd choice.
