Can't get modem to comnect
NOTE: I am going to be out of the house today until late at night, so I won't be able to test any solutions until then.

I just had my centurylink internet activated today, and my (actiontec q1000) modem says everything is good (dsl/wifi lights green and not flashing, internet light red). However, nothing will connect. Neither my PC, PS3, or phone could detect the wifi, and even though my PC's ethernet port lights up when plugged in (and the light turns off if I unplug the cord from the router's side, indicating some kind of communication), I have been unable to connect either my PC or PS3 via ethernet. Does anyone have any solutions I can try?

There's a video on the support site here[www.centurylink.com], it says the service may not be activated until after 8pm on the day so you may have to wait it out. EDIT - if you scroll down a page or two ways it also says to wait until after 5pm, so at least wait until then.

My service was supposed to be activated on the 27'th, but a *tech needed to come out to rewire something at my apartment complex

*yes, I know I should have asked him to stay and help, but I was arrogant and thought I could fix it. By the time I realised I couldn't, it was an hour or so later and I assumed I'd need to schedule one on a different day if I wanted another to come. Obviously since I've been waiting since the 27'th, I want to see if there is a way I can fix it ASAP.

If the Internet light is red, you have a problem that only Centurylink can fix.

I think that means I haven't been through the process of signing in, which I can't do until. I connect something to it.
