How do I use an AMD graphics card?

Yesterday I got a new Dell Inspiron 1500 with an Intel i7-7500U processor at 2.70 GHz 2.90 GHz, 8 GB of RAM, Windows 10 64-bit, and an AMD Radeon graphics card. After I set everything up, installed all the programs I wanted, and moved files over from my old laptop, I started playing some games on it. I didn't notice much difference in the preformane from my old Inspiron with an Intel i3 at 1.90 GHz, 8 GB of RAM, and no graphics card. I pressed Ctrl+Alt+Delete to open the task manager to look at the usage of the hardware. It showed that when I was playing any game, it was using the Intel GPU. The AMD GPU had 0% usage. I had a look at the AMD Radeon settigns and updated the drivers for it, and the update made no difference. A specific title that I play called 'Transport Fever' has a warning upon launch that reads: "An Intel HD graphics chip is active. For best preformance, be sure to: 1. Activate dedicated graphics card (if available) 2. Install the latest graphics driver (https://downloadcenter.intel.com) This warning can be disabled in the settings Advanced tab." How do I activete the AMD graphics card? How do I make games use it?

Rightclick the desktop > Radeon Settings > Prefferences > Radeon Additional Settings > Set everything to max performance in Powerplay and "Switchable Graphics global Settings" > Set your game to high performance in "Switchable Graphics Application Settings"

- You might have to launch your game once before it will appear in "Switchable Graphics Application Settings".

I went to "Radeon Settings > Preferences > Radeon Additional Setings" but I don't see anything that says "Powerplay" or "Switchable Graphics Global Settings".

AMD probably changed this stuff again, they love overhauling the user interface.

The option to turn it on shoud be in either the siftware interface or in the Windows control panel.

Ok, after updating my laptops GPU drivers (finally) I found out that AMD moved "Switchable Graphics Application Settings" to the systems tab.

I went to "System > Switchable Graphics Tab" and no applications show up in the recent or curently running. I've tried while the game was running and it still didn't work.

Click active applications in the top right of the Switchable Graphics tab > Installed applications with profile

The translation might not be 100%, my interface isn't in english.

Can't find "switchable graphics tab" anywhere in the radeon settings. Drivers are updated

Can't find it. In version 17.12.2....I'm on System..but then what? Overview? Software? Or Radeon 580?

It's in the same tab as the " recent or curently running" stuff you mentioned in an earlier post.
