Also what did you do exactly? You build a new PC or something? The OP is quite unclear.
Yes, you can't boot into the OS, if there's no OS to boot into in the 1st place, meaning it didn't find your SSD/HDD that has the OS install on it, make sure all cables are plug into the SSD/HDD properly for both the power, and Sata cables.
like i said im pretty dumb when it comes to pc
i thought i could fit my current build with a AB350M motherboard and a ryzen 1600
but i soon learned most of the components on my current build wont work with it
eg new motherboard doesn't support ddr3 ram cards
so i gave up,set my new componets to the side and tried to put my current pc back to its previous condition before i dismantled it
it was a pain but i think i did it but then it showed "reboot and select proper device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key"
this is the dumbest mistake i made this month
on another note i didn't build this pc,it was a handmedown from my older brother
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D-NQibvg3vA
i found the problem
because of the poor cable management in the pc i didnt realise the cable that is supposed to connect to the motherboard was hiding in a tangle of wires
im gonna try to boot the pc asap
