Cursor jumping in-game

I just recently upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10 on my computer, and everything runs smoothly now, but I've noticed that when I'm playing games, the mouse cursor just randomly jumps. It's not that my character would be facing a different direction, but when I'm moving the cursor around (for example, in Faster than Light), the cursor would be on the right, and when I move it down or up, it would randomly move to one of the corners, generally on the opposite side of the screen.
I've never had problems like this before I upgraded to Windows 10, and these problems only occur in-game, and not when I'm on my desktop. Can anyone help me out here? I'm not sure what to do.

Could be a coincidence, I just had a mouse die after a win 10 reset the other day.

A jumpy mouse is usually some crud on the eye or it's dying, try a different mouse.

Just tried using a different mouse, and still have the same problems. And, like I said, I only have problems with the curor in-game, not on my desktop.

I just had the same problem, downloaded the game and can't seem to navigate because the mouse moves almost randomly across the screen. (although I've never had win7 on this pc, I have it on my laptop and it runs fine there).

Same issue here. Mouse jumping in FTL. No other games or on desktop. Wired mouse. Win10.

I'm having a problem with the beta patch distorting the game's audio. All the music and sounds sould like they're breaking up, kind of like a walkie talkie with a bad connection. The non-beta version has no audio problems but then the cursor bounces around to the point that it's unplayable.

i have the same problem as well! when i try to update to the "beta" patch the game wont start at all! anyone have a solution for this? normally my mouse does no have any problems at all only in this game!

"Beta patch" solved problem with jumping cursor and doesn't cause any other issues for me. Maybe you sholud try to reinstall FTL with "beta patch" already selected.

I am having the same jumpy mouse problem i also have windows 10, but it doesn't bother me very much

I had the same issue with the mouse. I turned on beta updates and it works now. The screen was really small at first, but I selected FULL SCREEN off then back on and now it works like it used to. No sound or other issues to speak of.
