Logitech g29 wont calibrate
I run windows 10 64-bit on an i7 processor with a gtx 1080 and plenty of hard drive space.
i got myself a wheel for christmas, the logitech g29 along with the shifter that goes with it.
i havent been able to get it to work properly yet though. the wheel im assuming is fine because its brand new, but of course theres always the possibility ive got a defective model.

the pedals and shifter are both plugged into the correct slots on the wheel console checked and double checked. the wheel console is pluged in propely into the computer usb 3.0 headers. (i've tried multiple usb ports on the front and back of my system)

When i plug in the wheel, its expected to do some kind of calibration motion where the wheel spins all the way from lock to lock to find its center. it hasnt done that a single time. the weird thing is that logitech's gaming software seems to recognize the wheel and the pedals and the shifter all fine. but windows has no idea what to do with it. im seeing "device descriptor request failed" almost every time i plug in and unplug the wheel.

ive followed a few different methods that i could find online and none of them worked.
steam community has come through for me a few times in the past, i was hoping maybe someone had the same problem before and knows of a way to fix it.

thanks for any support
