I updated to AMD driver 17.12.1 and did not install ReLive, yet its still running?
As the title says, I have never used or installed AMD ReLive, and I see 2 programs running. AMD ReLive Desktop Overlay and AMD ReLive Host Application (amddvr.exe & amdow.exe). Even past drivers, I have never used or installed ReLive. I don't ever intend to use it, yet why is it still running 2 programs in the background? I have tried to look for a way to disable, but nothing can be found. Any help is appreciated.

Windows 10 64bit
Intel i7 5820k 3.3GHz
8GB RAM
AMD R9 Fury X

Relive also includes the overlay. My Task Manager shows 0% usage between the two and a bit of ram used. There is little to no effect on performance while using the overlay and showing metrics. There is some cpu effect when recording though. So if you're not recording it's not a big deal. My thought is, trying to get rid of it will not show any gain and may cause other issues.

you use full pack with radeon software
you need AMD Minimal Setup

Oh, thats what that is. Will it give me all of the settings I am use to from the full download as well?

I saw the minimal setup is super small. Are you sure it has all the settings that the full download does?

Thank you for the answer. I was driving myself crazy trying to find someone who wanted the same thing, but no search I had did came up with what I was looking for. I will leave it as is. Thank you.

To stop Relive from starting every boot: open Task Scheduler as an admin, in the Task Scheduler Library folder, disable the StartDVR task

I know this thread is 3 months old but since it just got necro'd anyway I will leave a more detailed answer to what these ReLive programs are which are running on your system.

These programs have nothing to do with the ReLive capturing software (unless ReLive is installed that is). These programs are responsable for the Radeon overlay which is installed together with the Radeon-settings control panel. The Radeon overlay was a new featured added in 17.12.1.

Press ALT+R to open the Radeon Overlay to easily make changes to the color settings, Radeon Chill and FTC while ingame, but it also works when on the desktop.

Ingame press CRTL+SHIFT+O (Doesn't work in all games) to monitor GPU usage, temperature, FPS etc..
